Crunchy Garlic Bread
I don't know what came over me, but I just made garlic bread almost the same way I make french toast.....I soaked the bread in a buttery garlic sauce, put it on a rack on top of a cookie sheet and broiled it....OMG HEAVEN <3
And quite delicious with the spaghetti I made for supper ^-^
BAM! Chocolate Cayenne Cupcakes
Plain chocolate cupcakes are boring. I like mine with some spice =)
Voila! A finished cupcake. The first round got a little too much cayenne so for the second and third batches I toned it down a half teaspoon at a time till it hit the right amount of heat for a cake.
To start! You will need to preheat your oven to 350 degrees (Fahrenheit) Then you will need to acquire (besides mixing bowls, measuring cups, spoons, and such)
2 cups granulated sugar
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup cocoa flour
3 teaspoons cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons cayenne
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1 cup half-and-half
1/2 cup canola oil
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 cup boiling water
Mixing together all the dry ingredients get you this:

Um....well this is right before i mixed them together......CONTINUING!!
Add the eggies. I like when they plop into the dry mix and create their own little well ^-^ but I'm weird. You will get used to this =)
The remainder of the wet ingredients...I have fun spreading them around in the dry mix......MIX WELL.
Add the boiling water.
Prepare a cupcake pan. Or two. I made about 24 normal sized cupcakes and had enough left over to make 24 baby cupcakes.
Now fill the cupcakes about 3/4 full with batter. This step involves lots of sampling when at my house....
Bake for 10-15 minutes or until no batter remains when poked with a cake tester (or skewer)
Inside the oven......it was a little steamy so you can't really see the cupcakes that well xD ^^
Such pretty cupcakes. Now they need some icing to go with them!
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 cup butter (softened)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup milk
In a medium bowl, mix the cinnamon and sugar together.
Add the butter, vanilla, and milk, and beat until fluffy. (About 5 minutes or so)
Ice you cupcakes and enjoy!!
